
HWI has enthusiasticaly welcomed Joe Haynes to our Engineering Team. Joe recently graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. While studying at Mines, he worked with the Mines team participating in the 2020 NASA Lunabotics moon robot design competition as the Electrical Subsystem lead. In this role, he developed a novel wireless communication system using TCP for off-board robot communication. In addition, he also designed the robot’s onboard power system. Joe's skills and training will be such an asset to HWI in serving our customers well. David Halleck, VP of Research & Development recently said, "I am excited that Joe has joined the HWI family. His dedication and passion to learning and growth is evident in his scholastic endeavors while also encompassing the values and culture we hold dear to here at HWI."
In addition, Joe is an avid car enthusiast and especially enjoys repair and maintenance. In his spare time, he likes running, hiking, film arts and plein air painting,
